ABOUT THE TEAM


The Hopper Ads team sells ad placements on the Hopper app and affiliate sites.  We sell to marketing agencies, travel companies such as Destination Management Organizations (DMOs), Airlines, and Hotels, as well as companies in other industries who are interested in reaching Hopper’s customers.  We offer a growing, innovative set of media products through which the clients can promote their brand and drive sales on Hopper’s sites.


ABOUT THE ROLE


The Hotel Ads Account Executive (AE) will sell Hopper’s Sponsored Listings product to an assigned group of hotel property targets.  The AE pitches and solicits orders from clients and coordinates ad trafficking and reporting with an Ads Campaign Manager.  The AE will work against a sales quota and can earn lucrative commission pay if they achieve sales targets set by management.  The AE can sell mostly from home but may need to travel occasionally to client locations and/or internal sales meetings

An ideal candidate has:

  • 2+ years experience selling digital advertising with a track record of closing at least $250K of business quarterly
  • Experience tracking & communicating sales results through a professional CRM tool such as Salesforce
  • Ability to use and understand data for use in sales pitches
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to craft data driven, targeted pitches to each sales prospectComfortable working in a remote environment with a globally distributed team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • No ego
  • Strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company
  • Bachelor's Degree Travel/Hospitality experience a plus

What would your day-to-day look like:

  • Work independently to secure media spend commitments from individual hotels and small groups for Hopper’s Sponsored Listings product
  • Own the client acquisition cycle from prospecting to closing the deal
  • Diligently log sales activity in Salesforce
  • Coordinate with Hopper’s Hotel Market Manager team to Collaborate with a Hopper Campaign Manager to manage relationships with clients to maximize ongoing media spend and campaign ROI
  • Present campaign results using Hopper’s analytical tools and GSuite products
  • Synthesize client needs to suggest product enhancements that would increase client ROI and Hopper Gross Profit.

The yearly total compensation for this position ranges from 120 000$ to 200 000$. Compensation will be determined by candidates' relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills and work experience. Total compensation will include a solid base salary and will also include equity (options / RSUs), sign-on bonus and other potential incentives.
