Virtual Interlining offers customers additional travel options by combining together multiple individual travel segments through self-transfers. These unique itineraries unlock new destinations, save customers time and money, and offer customers increased selection when they are booking travel.


Hopper has developed its own Virtual Interlining engine and has been selling this content within our OTA business for several years. More recently, we’ve started to offer this type of content to other businesses selling travel. This new branch of the business, HTS Connect, distributes Virtual Interlining itineraries via white-label websites and API integrations to businesses selling travel outside of the Hopper ecosystem.


As the Senior Product Manager for HTS Connect, you will be responsible for launching and ensuring the continued success of Virtual Interlining on these partner sites.

What would your day-to-day look like:

  • Manage a product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation; collect requirements, establish key performance metrics, craft the user experience, and drive execution
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align on the roadmap, timelines, and priorities and ensure launch and post-launch success of the product
  • Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Collaborate closely with data science to dive deep into our data to understand our users
  • Work with business leaders to help shape and drive business cases for product features 
  • Ideate and wireframe new features that will be in the hands of millions of users across the globe
  • Identify the essential qualities of each feature: what's important, what's not, how can we limit cost and risk?
  • Use good judgment to make appropriate trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that anything we build adds value to the business and continues to delight customers

An ideal candidate has:

  • Excellent communication for both the technical and non-technical
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Worked directly with design, frontend and backend engineers, product operations, and data science to launch B2BC or B2C products
  • Experience running and evaluating A/B tests and user surveys
  • 3+ years product management experience
