Content Project Manager

About the Role

As the LearnLux Content Project Manager you will manage the editorial process across functional areas to ensure that all external-facing content created by our content team is delivered on time, on brand, error free, and consistent with our financial wellbeing methodology, philosophies, and voice. You will transform advanced financial topics into fun, friendly, easy-to-understand content, build scalable processes for content creation and management, and develop and manage the resources needed to rapidly scale our content capabilities in the U.S. and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating across functional areas to identify content requirements
• Coordinating content development and maintenance projects and resources
• Ensuring that all external content reflects one consistent brand voice
• Building scalable processes to ensure all content meets rigorous standards of excellence at all times.

Project Management

• Define the scope of content projects and create timelines.
• Develop and maintain editorial calendars and project plans for all content creation and maintenance projects and deliverables.
• Collaborate across all functional areas to develop and manage efficient, replicable processes for global content creation, editing, localization, translation, and maintenance.
• Maintain an organized content pipeline, managing each deliverable from idea through execution and deployment.

Quality Control and Editing

• Coordinate content writers and outside vendors to meet shifting needs for standard, custom, and localized content.
• Edit, proofread, and review the work of internal and external content writers, providing constructive feedback and guidance on achieving LearnLux’s quality and brand standards.

Content Planning

• Collaborate with our financial planning team to plan, research, and prioritize lessons, videos and other content about financial topics.
• Collaborate with customer success and our financial planning team to develop and maintain custom libraries of content for our clients.
• Collaborate with the product and design team to ensure that in-app content is compelling, concise, effective, and easy to find and use.
• Collaborate with engineering to build and test the functionality for content to be interactive, engaging, and dynamic.

Systems & Processes

• Develop and implement keyword, tagging, and meta-data schemes to help make content interactive, personalized, and easy to find and use.
• Work with the product and engineering teams to develop and/or implement efficient content management and creation systems and tools to streamline how content is created, managed, published, and maintained.
• Establish, document, train on, and enforce policies and procedures for content creation.

Content Quality, Feedback, and Maintenance

• Review metrics to gain and report on important insights around content use and effectiveness and identify priorities and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage libraries of content and lesson lists, customized for our clients.
• Ensure that all content is reviewed and updated on a timely basis to reflect annual changes in tax law and other changes as appropriate.

You Should Have

• 3+ years of experience in content management and project management
• Experience building and managing high-performing writing and/or instructional design teams
• Exceptional editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Experience creating and maintaining educational content, frameworks, and live content libraries
• Effective time management skills with minimal to no supervision
• Expertise in Google suite or other content writing and management tools
• Excitement about working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves

• Proven working experience in instructional design and instructional technology with solid knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, and lesson and curriculum design planning skills
• Experience successfully managing global content processes including localization and translation
• Working knowledge of markup languages such as Markdown or HTML/XML
• Experience using data, analytics, feedback, and focus groups to improve content quality
• Experience with content management systems
• Startup experience working in a fast and ever changing environment
• Experience or interest in financial, HR, or education tech
