We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team in a newly created role as a Business Development & Client Partner for the domestic and international alerting business. As a key player in our alerting team, you will be instrumental in expanding our business globally and strengthening our Canadian portfolio.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in business development, market research, and executing business strategy to secure new clients and drive growth, with an emphasis on global markets and the United States. This role will focus on opportunities in the government and enterprise sectors.

Please note that despite being a remote role, it requires you to be located in and eligible to work in either of the 3 countries (Canada or the United States of America or Spain) with occasional travel to client locations globally.
WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE
- Drive business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the client base.
- You are an entrepreneur! Manage your business pipeline, develop an ongoing key account plan and help create a strategy for driving growth for our altering business.
- Secure deals and foster client relationships particularly with government agencies and enterprises.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential clients and develop strategies for client acquisition and presentations.
- You know how to ‘work a room’! Delivering persuasive presentations, inspiring and exciting clients with your ideas, knowing how to pivot in a conversation and answering difficult questions is what you excel in.
- Network and liaise with agencies to create partnerships and connections within the industry, including supporting agencies such as the United Nations. Partner with the product team to create, understand and present demos to potential clients.
- Act with professionalism and diplomacy while promoting and representing the company and managing different client relationships with government agencies.
- Act as a brand advocate for Pelmorex in the market with clients, industry events and partners.
- Liaise with finance, sales, legal, product and technology teams. Partner with internal teams to prepare proposals and submit tender response documents.
- Work closely with our legal and management team for contract negotiations.
- Physical Effort: No particular physical effort required
- Business Travel: Some business travel may be required for networking and relationship building in Canada, the USA, and potentially abroad
WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE
- Degree or Diploma in Business or equivalent level of experience or any applicable related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, client management, product growth, pipeline development, and strategy, preferably in alerting/mass notification and safety solutions for governments and enterprises.
- Demonstrable experience with market research, competitive analysis, presentation creation and networking/relationship building.
- Ability to translate market insights and findings into actionable business strategies.
- Up-to-date knowledge of alerting, mass notification, and safety products and industries.
